  1. That $12 billion to bailout farmers is going right to one of his buddies that has ties to potash isn’t it

  2. They need potash and fertilizer. He’s only punishing his own people. They’ll pay more, steal their tarriff money, then give back their own money back in subsidies. It’s so pointless

“I’m here to give money to farmers to save them” two seconds later. “I’m going to put severe tariffs on Canadian fertilizer”.

Yeah, you know how that works right?

Like to see the MAGA farmers lose their s**t when they realize that it’s a tax that they pay🖕

  5. I hope he does. It’ll hurt most the farmers and rural US communities that voted for him.

  6. Canada just needs to honor him with some ludicrous award. Problem solved… lol

  7. Canada should just opt to not sell us ANYTHING. We don’t HAVE the Potash and many other fertilizers that we need. Fuck it, sell it to everyone BUT the US, we deserve it.

Canadian here. I hope he does. 100% tariff…no 500% tariffs! That would be so awesome for American farmers!

And to think, American farmers overwhelmingly voted for this jackass. Conservatives have brain damage.

  9. We could solve the national debt crisis by tariffing the bullshit coming out of his mouth, paid for by taxing the billionaires their fair share.

As a Canadian…. Go for it!!! Your farmers will love that!!!! Hahah

Trump’s a useful idiot for me. As a Canadian it’s great to see our government grow a spine and become more self reliant. You made liberals try to build a pipe line with Alberta bro! Thanks lol

Get f’d maga. Choke on your mullet!

  11. Cut them off. Potash, uranium, power, and NORAD while we’re at it. They don’t need anything from us, remember?

  12. So let’s get this straight. Trump is bailing out farmers to the tune of 12 Billion because his tariffs caused hardships. He now wants to tariff a product that the farmers need and is almost supplied entirely by Canada. I don’t know about you, but he doesn’t sound very business smart.

  13. So, American farmers are going broke because fertilizer costs are too high, so Trump’s „plan“ is to impose an import tax on fertilizer to make it more expensive.

    Great plan.

  14. When are Americans going to get sick of being dicked around already and do something?

  15. globehopper2000 on

Wasn’t potash tariffed a lot lighter because the US relies heavily on Canadian supplies?

He’s looking for an excuse to start buying this shit from Russia

  17. I swear to god Canada, if you don’t straighten tf up, we are gonna tax the shit out of our citizens some more. Dude always has been, and will always be, a complete idiot.

I am past the point of caring about anything he says …. let him go ahead and increase the price to Iowa farmers – I don’t care anymore. The USA we knew is gone, it isn’t coming back, ever.

  19. Great plan there trumpy, first you screwed over potash and soy beans, now do fertilizer and really make it so only large corporate farms can exist in the US. Can’t have pesky peasants owning land.

LOL we’re (as in Canada) the #1 producer on the planet, and your primary supplier. Go ahead and try, fuckwit. We can sell to any other country, you have to grow your food with that, and will buy our potash anyway. Your people will pay for that.

For the slow ones in the group:

    * The three largest producers, Belarus, Russia and Canada, are roughly 80% the world’s potash.
    * Russia and Belarus are heavily internationally sanctioned countries
    * Canada produces more potash than the other two combined.
    * 90% of potash for fertilizer in the US is imported from Canada
    * Excluding Canada, Russia, Belarus and China (4th largest producer), there is not enough production in the world to meet US import needs.

  22. This would be a 100% self-own because the US relies on our potash for literally almost all of their agricultural needs lmao but his base will eat this up (or they won’t because they will have no food)

  23. Apexnanoman on

If they can manage it Canada’s best move would be to completely cut ties within the US and close the border entirely. They should also be building nukes. Because with Trump in office, nothing is off the table.

  24. “The president has been very unequivocal in saying we have to figure out why all these input costs are skyrocketing,” Rollins said.

    IT’S YOUR TARIFFS, ASSHOLE.

This man is standing there after shooting himself in the foot saying „where is all this blood coming from? Hey, my foot is leaking! I know, I’ll plug the hole with a bullet to stop the bleeding!“

  25. Electrical-Pitch-297 on

Us Canadians just don’t care anymore. Why should we flinch to stuff like this when he’s promised tariffs and then reduced them or backpedaled entirely only to threaten them again and then start the whole cycle over again. It’s like arguing with a dementia patient. We’re just waiting for this old lump of shit to either die or serve this term out so things can maybe go back to normal.

  26. brendanderewenko on

I mean, there are three major producers of potash: Canada, Russia, and Belarus. Most fertilizers depend on potash. Idk, if not Canada, where is the US going to get its product? Tariff away, orange boy!
