    1. Oh good, the stable genius who’s never wrong and definitely never takes bribes to make a decision…

„I will need a cut of that deal, if you want it to go ahead“. Third world America.

    3. >“I’ll be involved in that decision too.“

I hope Netflix has funds for a presidential bribe ready.

Maybe they can save money and boot Obama’s movie of the platform instead.

    4. Perhaps the „Problem“ is that he already promised WB to Larry Ellison, who promised to end John Oliver.

    5. ‚Goody, a situation that has nothing to do with me I can barge in on to extort bribes‘

„Tell your friends I don’t want a lot. Just enough to wet my beak.“ (saying from maffiosi and corrupt politicians)

    7. Ah yeah the dictator needs a hand in all private equity.

The government wanting to own the means of production & the means of cultural expression is literally textbook fascism. Trump is just a baby that wants more money, but the Heritage Foundation want a Confederate North Korea.

    8. How does the US actually accept this blattant corruption and nepotism from their president.

Is he going to demand that the U.S. government be a significant shareholder in the “deal” for it to be approved? It’s the only kind of deal he understands.

The fact that this behavior has become normalized and is seen as acceptable is infuriating.. Imagine the reaction if Obama pulled this exact move that Trump is doing with these media companies

Netflix could blow up Trump attempt for a bribe, say something about the mad king, sue the government, comment on Hulu’s lost customers coming over.

This just in, Trump has been awarded the first non-annual Netflix Peace award.

    13. Remember when Republicans kept saying government should stay the hell out of business?

Translation: “how can I extort money from this to make myself richer”

What an embarrassment the USA has become. In a democracy the president would have nothing to do with this, someone else in government would refer it to a monopolies commission who would assess it independently, in the US, the president is saying ‘make it benefit me personally or it doesn’t happen’ while all other branches of government look on impotently because they’re terrified of low IQ voters.

Great, so now Netflix will need to pay kickbacks to Trump as well.

Everything about Netflix buying Warner bros is fine until you realise who is in second place

The US is now a Russian style oligarchy with corruption in plain sight and Americans are okay enough with it

Can’t wait to see what Trump’s idea for the West Wing is. Maybe Sarandos can make some… contributions to the design?

Have any gifts been sent yet?

Imagine if every 4 year companies need to send gifts to the new Whitehouse residents?
