Palantir co-founder and billionaire venture capitalist Joe Lonsdale calls for a return to public hangings. His comments outline an extreme argument for a return to draconian punishments in the 21st century, despite the fact that data shows such measures do not deter crime. Londale framed his proposal as part of a campaign to return to „masculine“ government. His remarks were met with fierce criticism.

  2. Violence is a meaningless mental exercise to them who’ve never experienced it. It is sadism in its purest form, devoid of empathy or understanding because there was none to begin with. It is not a response to an environment or society hurt by violence, it is an attempt to add violence into it from the top down.

What, exactly, is it you do here, Palantir? Sometimes seems like it’s a company built to funnel public dollars to a handful of douchebags.

100% in for publicly hanging billionaires who think they know better than anyone.

We’ve reached maximum rhetorical satiation from the Right – they have nowhere else to go with a war of words. Walk the walk, asshole, and put your billions where your mouth is. Until then, these are empty/hollow words designed simply to agitate and you should really just shut the fuck up.

    Ragebait.

This is a real morbid way to say he fancies people less fortunate than him being publicly humiliated before their inevitable deaths.

  7. I call for his hanging then. No idea who he is but fuck him in particular anyway.

  8. He also has a credible sexual assault case that was settled.

I’ve met him before, take I got was someone who is on the spectrum and focused on making money.

  9. hang me first and rid me of your stupidity. sounds like a damn vacation at this point.

  10. I’m not as against this as one might imagine. <content removed so I avoid jail time>

  11. Texas Monthly recently had a lengthy article about all the things this guy is getting up to in Austin. After reading that I’m not surprised he would say this.

  12. What a visionary. Gosh. What a great plan. Can’t believe we needed a billionaire to show us the correct path.

Maybe he should lead by example.

  13. Are the most vulnerable he is referring to those living paycheck to paycheck?

  14. If you feel the need to prove your masculinity in the name of manliness, you are not a man.

„When Nazis call for public hangings, can we call for shooting nazis again? “ hypocrites for sure. I don’t think these palantir guys have a single good thought in their head.
