The only people that pretend AI is somehow better than the best human art are the same people that make AI slop services and the idiots who claimed crypto was the ultimate decentralized economic utopia, and those that thought NFTs are an intellectual copyrightable thing…..

I saw some good anime parody/slander videos on tiktok that were quite funny, and probably wouldn’t have been made if it weren’t for AI
So is the vast majority of human made art to be fair.
And it’s built by stealing the art of other artists.
99% of the time you can tell within seconds it’s AI generated. But to be fair some of it serves the purpose it was meant to and other stuff actually looks really cool. But yeah, the vast majority of it is slop. Don’t even get me started on the 5-10second AI video clips that are appearing all over the internet like a vile plague of filth.

As an artist myself I think theres plenty to critique without having to outright lie. Some Ai looks bad but some of it actually looks fucking cool. Just like human made art
Music is art and some AI songs are good I like that 60s ai music on youtube
Give it a couple years and they will fix that. Already got people questioning real art made by people for being Ai looking.

AI „art“ isn’t art, it is slop.
AI was supposed to handle the banal chores of every day life, freeing up more time for me to create art. Instead AI has been designed to make the art I want, freeing me up for more banal chores.
We got it backwards
