    1. [Marjorie Taylor Greene](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/marjorie-taylor-greene-just-start-trump-party-4073123?ico=in-line_link) arrived at her election night party in the US city of Rome, Georgia, on 3 November, 2020, in a military-style Humvee decked with pro-Trump flags and bumper stickers and wearing a [Make America Great Again](https://inews.co.uk/opinion/maga-is-firmly-in-charge-of-trump-now-4047474?ico=in-line_link) cap. She had become famous, by that point, as the “[QAnon](https://inews.co.uk/topic/qanon?ico=in-line_link) Candidate”.

The day before, Trump held a rally in her district. “Somebody that gets a little more publicity than I do, [Marjorie Taylor Greene](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/trumps-split-maga-disciple-taylor-greene-shows-dire-situation-4044267?ico=in-line_link) right here from Northwest Georgia,” he told a crowd of 20,000 as he endorsed her. “Oh boy. I don’t want to mess with her. No, she’s great.”

For four years, Greene was one of Trump’s staunchest supporters in Congress. But in just a few months following his return to the White House, their relationship disintegrated. “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene is a disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY,” the president [posted](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115554138689247811) in November. Days later, Greene announced her [resignation](https://inews.co.uk/news/trumps-row-marjorie-taylor-green-cracks-maga-church-4060255?ico=in-line_link).

Less a conspiracy theory than a sprawling conspiracy ecosystem, QAnon began with a series of cryptic posts on an anonymous message board in 2017 claiming to be from a high-level government insider (Q is a level of US security clearance). The Q “drops” described a [vast child sex-trafficking conspiracy](https://inews.co.uk/news/technology/next-qanon-conspiracy-theory-eclipsed-founder-1715099?ico=in-line_link), led by Hillary Clinton and the Democrats – and promised a coming “storm” of reckoning.

By 2020, QAnon had metastasised on the political right. Its adherents formed a quasi-messianic cult framing Trump as saviour, a white knight engaged in high-stakes, four-dimensional chess against the deep state “cabal”. Their outrage when Trump lost is [a big part](https://gnet-research.org/2023/09/15/qanon-political-radicalisation-and-january-6th-a-gendered-perspective/) of what caused the [riot at the Capitol](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/bbc-failings-distract-horror-january-6-4034864?ico=in-line_link) a few months later, on 6 January.

They thought Trump was their hero, fighting the “elite pedophile ring”. Talk about a plot twist.

Conservatives/QAnon screamed from the hilltops that the global elite were in a pedophile cabal… but now that said global elite are eating at Trump’s table, they have been dead quiet.

EDIT: It’s been a long while since I’ve used this phrase, but… thanks for the award, kind stranger!

…not sure what to do with it, but thanks nevertheless

    4. People think hypocrisy matters to MAGA. They will either not care about it, [try and justify his actions](https://youtu.be/-T5Hp2WldFk?si=vsWemU2SuDKqeHLz&t=1903), or call it a [hoax ](https://www.c-span.org/clip/white-house-event/president-trump-calls-epstein-files-a-hoax/5168819).

      >“Never believe that ~~anti-Semites~~ MAGAs are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The ~~anti-Semites~~ MAGAs have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

Something something Pizza something something live long enough to find yourself on that island 😂

    6. QANON was an attempt to deflect from accusations that Trump is a pedophile himself.

They invented an entire fanfiction to say „no, ackshually he’s taking down the pedophile cabal!“

Seems like it’s not a “conspiracy theory” at this point. Elite pedo ring was very real.

    8. Sometimes I wonder if QAnon was an epic troll who wanted to whip the MAGAs into a frenzy over the exact wrong people.

Basically exposes them as supporting the exact guy doing all the pedo stuff.

Q used to believe that they were chasing a conspiracy theory that Walt Disney had something to do with Sex Trafficking. You could have proved that correct in the Epstein files and blamed the Democrats. This is how bad the files are for the powerful Republicans.

The conspiracy theory created entirely to muddy the water and both sides the issue to protect the fact that trump was the child trafficking pedophile? Seriously, it took off the very same month that Katie Johnson’s lawsuit against trump made national headlines, before his cult stalked her into dropping it.

      That one?

these dummies finally realized the „deep state“ was a lie created by billionaires so they could gain even more power

in other words – the billionaires *were the real deep state*

As long as Trump has his YouTuber like Benny Johnson and Matt Walsh talking about other things, this won’t haunt Trump.

      They’ll move the goal posts

A conspiracy theorist can believe two contradictory theories rather than anything else.

Why has everyone suddenly forgotten about the Epstein files that have not been released yet????

    15. Remember they don’t actually care about kids. They just want to weaponize trauma against people they dont like.
