    2. Guilbeault’s departure was probably inevitable once Carney jettisoned the most extreme of the Trudeau policies. The resignation was probably already factored in to the calculations before the MOU was decided on.

      Guilbeault is far from a perfect politician, but his failures were mostly related to his being especially and inflexibly committed to an undeniably laudable cause.

      Convicted fraudster, Trump hagiographer, and all-around champion of billionaire-led conservatism Lord Black should reflect on how their legacies will compare.
