Submission statement: Buyout your competition and become the default option. Remember the abundance of variety with Documents, Spreadsheets, and what not, until Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word became the default option for everyone? This is that on steroids.

Oh you mean the US government doesn’t actually do its job in protecting its citizens from monopolies?

Government wants things like this to happen because it’s less to control to control everything. Instead of getting the buy in from 100 companies who can “unionize “ again a policy you now you 1 or 2.

This isn’t just entertainment, it’s food, technology etc.

    Welcome to the future.

omg ive been thinking the same thing!! i literally put tape over my laptop webcam bc im convinced they’re watching us anyway lol.

  5. If you see monopolies forming to strengthen the propaganda flow, Warn a brother!

  6. There’s a lot of spreadsheets out there. Microsoft just won the business/enterprise market. I almost never use Excel.

    Funny things:
    – Netflix originally tried to sell their idea to Blockbuster. They didn’t buy it so Netflix continued on.
    – Google tried to sell their algorithm to Yahoo and AOL and other search engines. Nobody bought it so they continued on themselves.

All the competition had the chance to buy these, but they didn’t and now they’re gone. Yahoo had the opportunity to buy Facebook early on but didn’t.

Or, hear me out, Paramount Skydance could buy them with Saudi money, and they control what you see and collect your data for Dad’s company and his friend Bibi.

Sooooo either way your fucked. Maybe a little less with Netflix.

  8. This whole timeline is like Pottersville but with corporations. Soon it will just be one entity and we sadly need to adapt or perish.

It’s just standard economic behaviour towards monopolization, as monopolization is the most cost-effective way of doing business (from the pov of the business)

I’m for conspiracies but anything the critical drinker says is usually the worst take possible

I don’t use Google search engine and I’m pretty sure they don’t own “everything”

Don’t watch that trash. Passive observation steals your time, the most valuable resource on earth. Instead of watching, do.

  13. It’s too late we’re already there.

In Chicago, ICE went around abducting American citizens; murdering random people; dragged naked toddlers through the street at 1 a.m.; tear gassed entire blocks sending a 2 year old to the ER; and shot a catholic priest in the head for shits and giggles.

    For an entire fucking summer.

I thought this was going to be 24/7 news on CNN, MSNBC and all the other networks. But they muted it and people just went about their day.

So when people say, “they’re going to control what we see and hear!” I say, remove the “going to” part. It’s already done.

This merger is just our lords shuffling around board pieces.

I don’t think I’ve used Google search engine in a very long time. It’s so bad now

  15. Yep they will ruin HBO like they did with the Witcher firing Henry Civil for woke garbage
