    Habe eine App entwickelt, um den Vergleich irischer Supermarktpreise zu vereinfachen

    Vor einiger Zeit war ich mit meiner Frau einkaufen und habe mir eine Pepsi Max für 3 € geschnappt. Ging zum nächsten Geschäft und sie hatten 3 für 5 €. Ich weiß, es ist kleinlich, aber es hat mich so genervt, dass ich angefangen habe, diese App zu entwickeln

    Ursprünglich wollte ich einen Barcode-Scanner entwickeln, der Ihnen nur die Preise in anderen Geschäften anzeigt, aber es ist überraschend schwierig, Barcode-Daten zu erhalten, da es keine gute öffentliche Datenbank dafür gibt.

    Stattdessen habe ich eine Einkaufsliste mit Preisvergleich erstellt. Sie können nach einem Produkt suchen und die Preise von Tesco, Dunnes, Lidl, Aldi, SuperValu und Centra sehen. Bei Lidl und Centra gibt es nur aktuelle Angebote.

    Du kannst:

    • Vergleicht Preise
    • Überprüfen Sie aktuelle Angebote und Multibuy-Angebote
    • Haben Sie Einkaufslisten mit laufender Summe
    • Teilen Sie Einkaufslisten mit QR-Code
    • Prospekte prüfen, Clubkarten, Gutscheine aufbewahren

    Derzeit nur Android. Ich kann es für iOS erstellen, aber ich wollte die 100 € Apple-Entwicklergebühr erst bezahlen, wenn ich weiß, dass sich die Leute wirklich für die App interessieren.

    Ich weiß, dass es einige Fehler gibt, und ich möchte Funktionen hinzufügen wie: Barcode-Scanner, Preisverlaufsdiagramme, Einkaufsliste nach Gängen organisieren (meine Frau macht das manchmal für mich und ich verbringe halb so viel Zeit im Laden)

      That is unbelievably handy, I’ll be giving it a try. I think a barcode scanner should be the priority feature to work on.

      > getting barcode data is surprisingly difficult, there’s no good public database for it.

      Would crowd sourced data help? When I search „Mutti“ I can see the 3-pack as two different item so I could scan the product and they would merge together.

      With the constant prices hikes everywhere people need something like this to help save whatever they can.

      I have to wait until you do it for Apple though, hopefully you do do it.

      This is class if you could add a sort function to sort price from low to high within the categories that would be class. Would love to know the cheapest sparkling wine in the shops for example and have to scroll through at the moment. Brilliant app! You should send it to shopping and price influencer people on Instagram I’d say they would love it. There’s one called IrishBudgeting I think, probably loads more.

      Do you get the data from their websites? That’s really handy, but it’s only as good as the data in it.

      Maybe open a barcode GH tracker for open contributions? But really appreciate the app and work put into this

      Great work, but i don’t think too many people will be motivated to shop around for individual items. Im not hopping back in the car to save 20c on butter down the road 

      Could you allow someone to input their full shopping list to build a virtual basket so the app then aggregates for you?

      Really great app. Very intuitive and helps solve a very real problem. 

      How are the products added? I’ve noticed some of the same products appearing separately (like a different product). Check Chicago Town Pizza and you’ll see what I mean. Looks like if the stores list them with a slightly different name/description they appear separately.

      Can this be used in the North? Or just the Republic? If not is there any plans for the North to be implemented as it would be a great help for us Irish on the other side of the Border.
