„According to polling by The Economist/YouGov, 45 percent of Trump voters do not want him to take office again, while 43 percent do“

      Let that sink in

    2. They say this but if somehow the ballot in 2028 looks like Trump versus a minority they’re going to find a way to justify that third term.

Despite technically correct headline its not good:

According to polling by The Economist/YouGov, 45 percent of Trump voters do not want him to take office again, while 43 percent do. A further 11 percent said they were not sure.“

43% want him to take the office again?

Donald trump voters don’t want him to do another blatantly illegal thing that threatens the entire foundation of our democracy? I didn’t think we’d ever reach this point.

How many of these stupid pieces of shit know that it’s against the constitution for their favorite rapist fraud to be president again?

    6. Classic_Rooster4192 on

It doesn’t matter if they want it or not, it’s against the Constitution! NO President can run for a third term!

    7. I knew plenty of people who supposedly didnt want a second but „after what Biden did to America“ they didnt hesitate to check his name off on the ballot!

      Alternative headline:

“43 percent of Trump voters want Trump to disregard US constitution and serve for a third term”

MAGA is a cult. It’s a cancer on our society right now and it needs to go away.

    9. How about we stop normalizing Trump’s „third term“ which he is in no way eligible for?

    10. Bumblingbee1337 on

Shouldn’t even be a conversation. We don’t have third terms for presidents

    11. There is no such thing as a „third term“.

That’s just seizing power in an autocratic coup. Stop saying this nonsense.

No state would ever put him on a ballot and if they did, it would be mass protests rather than an election.

    12. Why the headline doesn’t start with *Despite the fact that he cannot run for a 3rd term* is mind boggling. I hate to be the guy that blames the media for everything but goddamn, that’s ridiculous.

    13. try_to_be_nice_ok on

Amazing how we’ve normalised the concept of a third term despite the fact he would have to instigate a coup for that to happen. Bafflimg.

    14. HereForTheComments57 on

That’s good because he can’t anyways. Can the media stop pretending like this can just happen because some of his voters want it?

    15. „trump voters dont want a third term“

well, good news is that hes not allowed a third term, lets stop normalizing this shit

    16. -Great-Scott- on

They didn’t want a second term at one point either. Wait until the propaganda machine kicks in high gear and these same idiots will be worshipping him again.

    17. He’s literally dying and melting live in front of everyone whenever he gets on camera. He can’t stay awake, his eyes were cloudy again this week just like the last time he was sick and disappeared for a week. Whatever gallons of meds they are pumping him with to keep his hate filled, bloated corpse alive will wear out eventually, and I expect his cult are finally realizing that.

    18. PajamaPants4Life on

      Wouldn’t be a third term, because that’s not a president, that’s a dictator.

    19. Peppers-GhostMirror on

I think many dont want a 2nd term still…Articles of impeachment are long overdue given the state of things already.

    20. rascalmendes on

Absolute garbage. Trump is the GOP. They have no backup plan. They will break the constitution to put him in for another term. It is their plan.

The whole country needs to be on high alert and act as if it is happening. They’ve been hinting at it for years.
