I feel like an asshole would mention that the fact that AI is currently topping the Country and Christian airplay charts might say something about the general mindset of listeners of Radio Country and Contemporary Christian. Almost like they don’t actually like music and just want wallpaper.

Is this more a question about the efficacy of AI to craft content for a target audience or that target audience’s gullibility?

Well, I recently heard that Jesus is going to come back as AI with magic tricks and stuff, so this tracks.

This shows how shitty this music is and how easy it is to replicate more than anything else.

But are actual people really listening to them or are these numbers botted? AI listening to AI?

This is the exact group of people I would imagine would make an AI song chart

Honestly contemporary Christian music is garbage and has been garbage for as long as I can remember. It makes sense that AI could easily top those charts.

Not gonna lie – automating the songs they use to worship their god seems like blasphemy at best.

Why are the quotes around ’singer‘ when they should be round ‚Christian‘? This pseudo-AI can’t be Christian, it is not possible.

Bro Country & Christian Contemporary are purgatory for my ears

First it was an AI country music song that topped the charts, then a christian song. I see a pattern here….

Christian „music“ is garbage and people who listen to it are clowns.

Half the population is stupid. Take that stupid half and split it in half. That half of a half, is extra EXTRA stupid.
These people are allowed to drive, breathe the same air as us, breed, and vote.
AI models have learned how to talk and manipulate the Lowest of the lowest common denominator.
So next time, you see some stupid shit like people liking AI Christian songs, just know that it’s because they’re the easiest to grift, lie to, and manipulate.
I’m not the smartest person I know. And I won’t claim to be the best nor the smartest. I know where I stand.

I’ve literally never heard of this artist so it’s probably just bots listening to bots lol. Didn’t somebody get sued recently for botting Spotify to get ad payments?

Too much soul for me, I can feel the sadness in that AI’s voice.
Literally, almost converted me from Apolloism.

Good. I’ve always thought the last couple decades have been really overrated with the only emphasis being on the singer and the instrument players band members not mattering.
I think it’s funny to mix things up now with an AI singer.
I miss all the bands from the and ’90s and earlier’s where the whole band was the emphasis of the music

I have a Question! Is the guy who’s behind the AI singer getting all the revenue that a real-life artist would normally receive for being top of the charts? Or does the fact it’s AI devalue the work and result in not making as much as a normal artist? Are we going to see this person go on tour and do something ala Gorillaz and just press play while a digital character on a screen pretends to perform?

Aka probably the easiest to bot, You could probably hit that chart with only a few hundred streams

Which chart did they top? That AI country song only topped the digital downloads chart with 3000 downloads I heard.
I can make an AI song and buy 3000 downloads at .99 cents a pop and call myself a chart topper, too. But, it’s not news worthy.

One thing AI is really great at is telling pleasant lies. It will do very well in Christian music.

The web is just getting more and more invaded by bots and AI.
It was supposed to connect humans.
It just feel more fake, divisive and driven by big money.
