Ireland, Spain, Slovenia and the Netherlands have announced a boycott of the 2026 Eurovision contest after the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) declines to vote on Israel’s participation.
Belgium has confirmed they’re participating
Israel is missing in the map 🤔
Belgium, or RTBF (The Broadcaster for Eurovision 2026) announced earlier that they would participate.
Why are they boycotting?
Just forgetting the most European country of all, Australia.
Hungary has not participated in years and will also not return for 2026.
As far as I know, Hungary is not participating, I don’t think the map is good.
Didn’t know Slovakia isn’t a participant at all
What happened this year that made countries that previously didn’t boycott boycott? I mean, the war began in 2023, so why now?

About Belgium:
The ball is in the french speaking part’s court as this year they hold it. (It alternates every edition)
The dutch speaking national network decided to broadcast but to add context to the broadcast.
Then we have a chance of winning. Nice.
Armenia and Georgia haven’t announced anything yet, let alone participation
Is Romania participating this year?

The color red on a map is often associated with something negative. In this instance, however, it signifies the opposite. Deep respect to the decision-makers of these nations.

Hungary does not participate in eurovision becasue it is too gay

This map makes it kinda look, like ibitza and Menorac are still participating
I’m wondering if Spain and the Netherlands also plan to boycott the FIFA world cup, because countries with horrible human rights situations are participating.

Oh hell nah. this map is very misleading…
First of all, Hungary is not participating and havent done so since 2019.
Second of all, Georgia and Armenia has still not revealed whether they will take part, and they most likely will.
Third of all, Belgium is participating.
Gather the correct information before posting misinformation.
Side question, how did Israel qualify for the Euro Song Contest?
