      In regards to video games this could be a good thing since everything that Warner Brothers usually touches dies. No games under them has had a future.

      So, at this point you either choose Disney+ or Netflix assuming HBO Max gets consolidated (seems to be what they’re implying) into the Netflix app. I’m also assuming prices for these streaming services are only going to get even higher now.

      This tells us Netflix subscribers are paying far too much for access to a less than good library of media.

      $83 billion is a huge amount.

      Even fewer films will be available on physical media and more things with be locked behind subscription payments forever.

      They were the absolute worst company to acquire Warner Brothers. I’m pissed over this. 

      I’m still mystified as to why they sold anyway. Out of all of the movie studios this year, Warner Brothers was one of the most successful at the box office. I would have tried to keep up that momentum before I sold to anyone.

      Kinda funny to see how quickly the cable cutters alternative became the new cable tv. I wonder how long till we get the streaming app cutter technology.

      I remember a news story coming out years ago where reed hastings was trying to be bought out by blockbuster and the then blockbuster CEO said something to the effect of “those guys aren’t even on our radar.” I signed up for Netflix very early but still saved my blockbuster card. Still have it. It reminds me not to say stupid shit online. Sometimes it works. lol.
