Also, the Indonesian man was working in Japan (illegally in the wrong industry) for three years before being deported. He then returned to Japan again, presumably on a valid visa given his willingness to talk about it and lack of mention of any further arrest.
The article doesn’t explain anything about his return, possibly he was readmitted to an actual agricultural job – which you would hope, given that there is a major manpower shortage in the agricultural industry – but typical failure of Japanese articles to address the deeper issues and focus more on the relatively inconsequential ‚human interest‘ aspect.
