Ah crud. Already swapped out beef for chicken in most of my cooking. Guess we’re all swapping to goose lol, no shortage of those.

    2. It’s the grocery chains. It’s still the grocery chains charging too much, and family and small scale farms getting pushed out of the market. Just anecdotally, I know some bell pepper, tomato and onion farmers near London making more money buying vegetables from the US, shipping them here, chopping and mixing them with their product and selling it all back to the US to get around tariffs, because they can’t compete at home.

Canada could be self sufficient in agriculture and food supply, we just need to develop existing projects at scale. Break up the grocery chains and create a public option for essentials. Meat, grains, eggs, dairy, fruit and vegetables.

I was listening in the radio this morning.

They were saying beef prices will increase X% and after it will be pork because beef is too expensive, and then it will be pasta and sauces because meat is too expensive…

And round and round it goes. Almost like it’s being planned and coordinated
