All the progress we have done as a humanity in terms of humanism and peace seems to be getting undone entirely in the past couple of years. Hate, bigotry, nazism, radical nationalism, tribalism, exclusionism, homophobia, exceptionalism, xenophobia, pseudo-religious fundamentalism – all of these are on the rise again.
As a humanity, we never truly learn anything and keep repeating the same mistakes again and again.

what an utter trash bag.

So are they going to insist on all members supplying a Karyotype for verification or something?
Employ an official genital inspector perhaps?
Seems like a tacit endorsement of the law by making a statement that they recognize transgender women as women, while doing the exact opposite in policy.

I honestly don’t get it. I would have though choosing to be a woman despite not being born that way would give you bonus woman points or something.
All the unique physiological variability of humans, and how little we understand about the brain, all the different cultural norms around gender, personally I think it would be weirder if there *weren’t* people who felt more comfortable in a gender other than what they were born into.

>The Equality and Human Rights Commission — the United Kingdom’s leading human rights agency — issued guidance in August banning trans people from single-sex facilities, even those that match their sex assigned at birth in some cases.
Wait, so trans people can’t use women’s or men’s bathrooms in the UK? If that is indeed the case, I think that would pretty well illustrate the ridiculousness of the law.
Also, what are the laws pertaining to intersex people in the UK? Is their gender identity respected or do they also exist in a legal no man’s land?

How many women would be banned?

My best friend is smart, hard working and a high earner with a great job. Pays lots of tax. She’s trans and has left the country because of people and decisions like this. The point of inclusion is that everyone benefits. As a country we are letting hate win. The voice an rage bait opinions of the few get amplified by the rich. Fuck em all with a sharp stick.

I’m shocked truly.

THIS is the gold example of when separating art from the artist doesn’t work, it can work in other scenarios which are debatable but in this one it does not at all. Because she is a billionaire because of Harry Potter, continues to become wealthier because of Harry Potter, and uses that wealth to directly, often singlehandedly, fund groups and political will against a group she hates and then brags about it on social media.
The only people I excuse are those who both grew up with it and are top level harry potter fans. (we all need to find some joy in this world) No one else is excused once made aware of what she is doing.

I keep getting asked for proof that transgender billionaires are funding the gender ideology which has come in under the radar, capturing the institutions. When I respond they delete their question.
Jennifer Pritzker: An heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune who is a transgender woman and has donated millions to universities, schools, hospitals, and activist organizations to promote queer theory and trans medical experiments.
Jon Stryker: Heir to the Stryker Corporation medical multinational, who funds the Arcus Foundation, a major backer of global LGBT initiatives and „trans-affirmative“ psychological practices.
George Soros: Through his Open Society Foundations (OSF), he has allocated funds to groups supporting the objectives of transgender activists, such as the right to self-identification.
These individuals are cited in various sources as significant financial contributors to the movement, with some reports specifically mentioning the influence this money has on public sector areas like schools and the NHS in the UK and US.
