    1. She is 100% correct. She is not doing anything that has not been done by artists forever.

Every generation listens to the scandalous music as teens and young adults and then clutches their pearls when they get older.

I am GenX and most of her songs don’t hold a candle to Berlin’s Sex among many, many others. I tried to remember what I was like as a teen when I raised my kids and made sure to not overreact.

There is nothing new under the sun.

System of a Down was the most popular band in my middle school. It’s kind of wild seeing people my age or only slightly older complain about music when we listened to equally provocative stuff.

      Her aesthetic is so zzzz
And overdone the whole Lolita / jonbenet Ramsey look she aims for. I think she’s a good singer tho and pretty but I guess this look is what sells

    4. I think it’s more about why do female pop stars sing exclusively about sex? And then also complain about being sexualised

I don’t know her lyrics, but when I see her on TV or in videos she acts overtly sexual directly to the camera and I feel sexually harassed. I can’t explain why, I just don’t like it.

her time at disney was not that impactful, she is def not one of the disney channel icons. she gets criticism because her music is ass and the concept she is going for has been done a million times. she is reheated nachos.
