The irony of this country is wild!
Yo they hiring?
When there’s no general manager in the company and every team goes their own way to get the best results.
The academic world needs student to sustain itself. Universities needs millions to work between staff, equipment, supply chain and this money come from students subscribing. Since Japanese don’t make babies, less people go to the university, hence their existence is at risk.
Same for small companies located in the country side. Japanese youngsters aren’t interested so they need foreigner to survive
Then you get politicians and citizens on the other side. The first one uses foreigners as an easy target for their policy and the second one is simply xenophobic
Just as the rest of the country reminds everyone that the Japanese hate foreigners and consider them all subhuman. Plus their universities are a fucking joke. I’d rather hire a DeVry graduate than a Japanese engineer who trained on 20-year-old tech and didn’t have a PC until college. Japan is a third-world-country when it comes to higher ed. I know, I teach at the uni level here!
I’m curious why would any sane person with money to come, come here. Do they want a career here?
