    1. This has been posted here like 50 billion times though. Everyone and their dog already knows that

The Northern part is within the Tropics, while it’s southern tip is home to some of the southernmost inhabited places on earth.

    3. It always amazes me how big countries outside of Europe are. Like, how do you manage to keep your language and culture intact enough to form a national identity?

    4. Depends whether you think Europe is ‘long’, surely?

      I’ve seen longer continents tbh.

      Eh. You’re wrong.

      In terms of area,

Chile is 756,626 km² in area. Europe is 10.18 million km² in area.

Just because it looks big doesn’t mean it’s big. That’s the problem with Mercator projection.

In terms of length…close, but still no.

Europe from North end to South end: 5,490 kilometers. Chile from North end to South end: 4,300 km.

Even with that length and it bordering the ocean, Chile still has less coastline than Denmark alone, which is fun to think about.

    7. So they can service whole country with a single continuous rail line.

That must be a wonderful voyage.

      😉
