I continue to be surprised by the photos people seem to be cool with being permanently preserved of them on the internet.

Yeah, like every other offence, zero enforcement will have that effect.

    3. Banning something and being unable to enforce the ban, is an embarrassment.

All it does is create criminals.

Applaud the greatness of our government!

    4. Our government chooses to only tackle the supply side of any issues. Same mentality on illegal immigration. People have needs, so they need to vape and also cross the border illegally. If they truly want to stop anything, they have to stop it from the source ON THE DEMAND SIDE.

Should probably stop banning stuff until we get around to enforcing all the existing bans.

In this case, the legitimate shop owners (who we want to do well as they follow the law), are losing business, not just vapes but other purchases to the law breaking shop owners. Apparently crime does pay.

There is an exceptionally long list of crimes that go unpunished that make this country a worse place to live for everyone.

The government „bans“ do nothing. As somebody else commented „No effect unless it is policed“

You can get drugs faster than a takeaway in the UK….

So banning a vape in this country means nothing. Around 11 shops in my local town have 1 use vapes openly on display and fuck loads of different flavours.

      Same with electric scooters.

It would be nice to think the government or Police are trying to prevent sexual abuse of children whilst allowing these other issues to happen. But no, they seem to have a hand in that also 🤣🤣🤣

This is not true. The ban of importing or restocking is the one in current effect. The full man is Jan 1st. Stores were given a period to sell old stock.

meaningless article. the goal of the ban was to reduce waste. most shops have switched to selling reusables as its just easier. zero tolerance is more effort than its worth since the existing ban already achieves the goal of reducing waste.

In other news, you can buy imported cigs from corner shops with names like „International Market“
