If they understood/accepted what a POS hypocrite conman he is, it wouldn’t baffle them at all, but apparently they’re not ready to leave the cult just yet.

    2. The mad king is running a patronage court. Wealthy people give tribute and the mad king grants boons.

    3. His only plan is to enrich himself and he’s doing it one pardon at a time…

    4. SurfTheNebula on

This maniac pardons a drug trafficker and goes on a unhinged rant, posting 150 times in like less than 2 hours, within days of each other…..

Come on, obviously the guy is his dealer.
Nobody posts that many times in 2 hours unless they’re high on something.

Trump’s probably sitting on a kilo right now, ready to go off on truth social at 3:00 in the morning, while getting as high as Elon Musk doing hot rails of ketamine moments before appearing at a presidential inauguration.

    5. > The investigation started during the Trump administration,” he added. “The trial, I think, occurred during the Biden administration. I just think it’s horrible optics. I mean, we’re sending a mixed message. A dude that was convicted of trafficking 400 tons of cocaine… and let them go. Does that make sense?”

I have to give Tillis credit for actually calling this out. Trump claims that the entire investigation was a hit job by the Biden administration.

That said, every time a sitting GOP senator calls out Trump, they always do it from a „I’m confused as to why he’s doing this“ angle, like they’re simply below Trump’s „genius“ and not that he’s doing anything wrong. I hate it.

    6. Dramatic_Charity_979 on

Yeah, right. They will forget about after a week and keep voting red.

    7. PassageNearby4091 on

You just cannot make this up. Trump makes blunder after blunder — moves so incompetent that for any other president they’d be earth-shattering news.

And he’s doing it every single day.

Yet stories that would dominate headlines for any other president barely make it past the back pages, if they get printed at all. That’s just how fucking crazy it is.

    8. AcanthisittaNo6653 on

There is nothing baffling about it, trump was paid off and he doesn’t care about the optics.

    9. What’s baffling about it? The thug paid 47 a lot of money, and he pardoned him.

    10. What exact part is baffling? How are they confused by this? Is it not obvious corruption

    11. They don’t hate it – they don’t care

ETA if they hate it do something about it

    12. when the narcissist is also stupid, you can more easily see the narcissistic machinations at work

    13. Maybe we can pass a constitutional amendment allowing Congress to veto any presidential pardon. Republicans might be on board.

    14. Gummyvenusde-milo on

What’s baffling? Trump is handing out pardons for money. He’s a corrupt, rapist, pedophile, felonious piece of fucking shit that is ruining America.

    15. Oh come on. They’re baffled? I don’t think so. They know exactly why he did it. Money. The guy bought his pardon and they know it.

    16. ThirdDimensionGate on

      Oh yes “baffled” I’m sure
He’s a criminal grifter and rapist who led an insurrection.

I’m sure we are baffled about Trump selling pardons and shitting all over the constitution

      Get real

    17. It’s about the network state Prospera. Peter Theil funded. And the former president and his affiliated Nationalist party is bought and paid for by Peter Theil.

Peter Theil has quickly risen to near the top of bad dark money traitors to America. Though he is German.

    18. mouthygoddess on

Stop pretending to be “baffled.” No one buys your fake pearl-clutching.

*”I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”* – Donald Trump

    19. OtherBluesBrother on

Nobody who has been paying attention is ‚baffled‘ by this. I’ll spell it out for you:

They give him money. He pardons them. That’s it, it’s not baffling.

He doesn’t care that one day he says he’s waging war on drug smugglers, then the next day lets the biggest drug smuggler we have in prison out on a full pardon. He’s been pulling the wool over your guys‘ eyes for so long, he doesn’t even bother trying to hide it anymore.

    20. It’s all pretty obvious and doesn’t require much thinking. If you are:

      – loyal and willing to try to perform a coup
      – willing to pay him $1M directly

      You will get pardoned

    21. Jagermonsta on

It’s not hard to understand. Trump is a crook and is running at peak corruption levels. Any republican acting baffled or surprised by Trumps behavior is either lying, a complete moron, or both.

    22. No_Consequence7919 on

It’s not only the Republicans that are baffled, democrats and law abiding people are bewildered.

    23. Mean-Cheesecake-2635 on

Pardons for sale regardless of the crimes. He’s doing it in the open republicans.

    24. I’m starting to think the President has a financial interest in drug trafficking. He wants to be King of Crime.

    25. You’re not allowed to hate it. Quiet, Piggy. You’re a Trump supporter. You better fall in line or he’ll support a primary challenger and you won’t be able to have this great job where you “work” 100 days a year.

    26. EvLmong00se on

Whats so hard to understand? Rich criminal sold another rich criminal a pardon for money.

    27. ChaseballBat on

That and his comments on affordability, yikes. Not a good day for him to open his mouth and say what he thinks

    28. Baffles them? Maybe the Republican voters but not the Republican politicians.

    29. No-Cup-8096 on

Trump probably has money tied up drugs or this dude has evidence on his kid.

    30. ShamanSix01 on

What’s so baffling? He paid Pedo for the pardon. That’s how he’s done all pardons.

    31. Dry_Championship222 on

Um he did it for money and power same reason you do anything dipshit.

    32. Googleitgenius on

It really not that hard to fig it out.

    33. Interesting2u on

Why?? All they have to do is acknowledge that Trump accepted bribes for pardons. I mean any thinking person already knows this.

    34. masstransience on

GOP: We’re tough on crime! No fooling around!

Trump: Any criminal who bribes me can have a pardon!

      GOP: *crickets*

    35. Its official pardons are on sale now since „coincidentally“ all the ones who seem to be getting them are more than your average criminal especially since the president says he has no idea who he’s pardoning when they are a drug trafficker and crypto lord who was flagged for national security threats.
If Biden’s autopen is invalid then what the hell is Trump signing what ever he’s told to without even knowing what it is…
