I wonder if Takaichi is still ready to take on China in a military conflict with Daddy Trump signaling wavering support.

  2. My country snaps back the moment China pokes us even a little, but when the US kicks us, we just force a stiff smile and play along.

  3. Wait till BOJ does a rate hike and causes reverse carry trade then the real fun will start

He isn’t wrong. American car makers are forced to make cars at a higher price than their competitors because of all the regulations and outsourcing of labor and parts to 3rd party nations like Canada and Mexico makes it far more easier to make cheaper and better quality cars. Furthermore, countries like Japan and Korea profit from FX rates. USA car makers are basically at a disadvantage from the start as the entire world gets easier access and preferential treatment to the US market than the local market. Which is why US car manufacturers had to move operations too just to stay competitive.

Heck, the EU has 70% ish tariffs on American cars which started somewhere around the 70s&80s, and continues to today. One sided trade deals with the rest of the world hurts the USA greatly and has done so for the world since the days of the Marshal Plan. All the USA is doing is stoping it. Going back to normal trade flows.

Didn’t he say this like weeks ago? Or is he repeating the classics again.

  6. OP is a bad faith poster. Articles title is “Trump: Japan, S. Korea WERE ripping US off” which is clearly past tense. The title of the post is “Trump: Japan, S. Korea ARE ripping US off”

If we are ripping the US off… where is the money we make out of that?
