    1. „real estate agents complained they hurt sales“

Yet another example of why you should never ever trust anything a real estate agent tells you

good reminder to look it up when house hunting. also look up insurance rates and their trajectory over the last decade as well (if you can even get insurance now, which you can’t in some places. because climate change.)

    3. If you facilitated a home sale while knowing of risks but failing to disclose them it seems obvious you should be liable but ianal and this is America so I’m sure they’ll get away with this bullshit.

There’s something uniquely American about treating a warning about a future danger as worse than the danger itself.

That should be illegal to be honest. This kind of information should not be capable of being rescinded or hidden. You could have unprepared home buyers literally die from this kind of stuff. This is literally a company who’s sole purpose is to sell property saying „We’re going to turn a blind eye to this problem because it makes us less money“. Everything is a scam now.

    6. Redfin has them sorted by category (flood, wind, fire…) which is super nice. They better keep that feature.

Never rely on one source of information

Especially when making such a large purchase

      Real estate agents are leeches

Never trust anyone. They’re looking out for themselves. You have to advocate and rely on yourself
