I am starting to think we will need to make our own private internet as the current one is being fucked so much.

I read a piece once about ways of setting up networks in hostile area, tech the usg developed alongside tor and onion.  Piece disappeared unfortunately.

But you can beam signals device to device, over power lines, with the right gear we could totally bypass the enshitified internet for some stuff.
