The headline is misleading: he never denied it. instead he resorts to that quasi Nazi-speak that so many Trump administration wackos like to use: “fabricated, inflammatory and derogatory reporting to discredit our incredible warriors fighting to protect the homeland”. He is nothing but a war criminal, and in any just world he would be arrested an imprisoned. But this is not a just world, sadly.
Dude is just realizing that he broke some of the oldest and most well-respected rule of modern warfare and the Maritime Code – you don’t fire on injured or otherwise incapacitated men, especially at sea.
