Consequence of dropping the gold standard IMO. Same inequalities came out in inflationary periods in the past pre French Revolution and even Wiemar Germany had a similar phenomenon.
There appears to be something similar to the cosmological constant for economics. I used to think it was compound interest but its faster than that.
