      Read this earlier. Interesting read.

Have to say, when the idea was first mooted it did seem immediately notable to me that Corbyn and Sultana are extremely different personalities and have very different strengths. But that could be seen as a positive, maybe they’ll work together and their strengths will be complementary and cancel out the other’s weaknesses.

In practice, what has happened is that they haven’t worked well together, and it has just highlighted each of their deficiencies. It’s left them both looking utterly unsuited to leading the party. However, nobody else really has the profile to do it.

At this point, I think a great deal of their potential has now been captured by Polanski’s Greens. So Your Party is left a bit unsure what it’s supposed to represent.

I do think there is a big gap in British politics for a party that is socially conservative but economically left wing. That’s a popular position that isn’t really represented by any party (Reform have flirted with it a few times). However, Your Party can’t be that because too many of its members and leadership are liberal. But if it becomes a liberal left party, it’ll struggle to get past the Greens I think.

      > After the election, Corbyn suddenly found himself one of five left-leaning independents, with Shockat Adam, Adnan Hussain, Ayoub Khan and Iqbal Mohamed

One big problem contributing to instability in the party is left wingers fooling themselves into thinking those four are in any way left leaning.

So you’re telling me that the cretins that ran the Labour party into the ground started a new party and then proceeded to run it into the ground?

Can’t say I’m shocked, honestly. Hopefully someone will create a decent comedy based on this.

I think that they should continue to vent all their private disagreements in public loudly and often. That’ll help them resolve the issue and be very entertaining

Were the two other MPs on the sidelines wondering wtf they’d walked into?

    6. Meanwhile the right have all now concentrated their support onto the UK’s branch of the alt-right and can elect them on 30% of the vote.

      It’s so infuritating.

There I was thinking how far I’d have to scroll to find „Splitters!“

      But nothing.

      So: splitters!

Tories = 5 PMs in 6 years plus Liz Truss budget. Mishandled Brexit. Mishandled Covid leading to corruption and thousands of needless deaths.

Labour = Sabotaged it’s own leader to make sure they didn’t win a GE and denuded it’s left wing membership, then pushed a PM into power, with the help of the media, who everyone hates and currently has the lowest approval rate of any PM.

Reform = Racists backed by right wing media with massive question marks over Russian influence.

Ah yes Your Party is terrible…

Edit: Also the Guardian led the charge against Corbyn.

    9. Amateurs! Should have had 4 MPs and 6 factions.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the only thing they all agreed on was not liking Israel.
