Hallo zusammen! Ich bewerbe mich für YISS 2026 und wollte eine kurze Frage klären, da ich mit den Informationen auf der Website etwas verwirrt bin.
Ist für YISS also nur Koreanisch der Stufe 1 verfügbar? Weil dort steht, dass kein Einstufungstest nötig ist und ich die unterschiedlichen Niveaus wie in den KLI-Kursen nicht sehe.
Wenn ja, was ist der Unterschied zwischen YISS und KLI? Ich lerne seit einigen Jahren Koreanisch, daher möchte ich nicht mit Stufe 1 beginnen :/

So first thing, I think it is still their 2025 courses listed. You’ll want to wait until they publish the list of courses available for 2026 or contact them for specifics.
However to answer your main question, notice how the course codes IEE3341 & IEE1006 are different even for the level one courses. YISS is more geared toward a general summer abroad rather than specific language study, but it runs internal level one courses for the introductory level in parallel with what Yonsei KLI offers.
For anything above that level one, you would want to test out and take the KLI courses. If you scroll down on that page and check the syllabi for the courses you can see that KLI runs 6 week courses to match the YISS schedule, different from the normal KLI semester long programs. It’s under the YISS umbrella but the courses are run by KLI. So if you want to do the YISS 6 week schedule & credit system, but take higher level Korean language courses you’d still apply to YISS, but then test out and register for the KLI class that you place into.
