    1. It makes significantly more sense to go from Samsung to Apple than Apple to Samsung, outside of certain pro users who require a specific feature.

Apple’s emphasis on the ecosystem and base experience really works out much better than Samsung’s gimmicks. Samsung’s pricing has also been less competitive and it does appear like Apple will now be offering a yearly cheaper option with the e Series of iPhones, which really cuts on one of the main advantages of Samsung.

    2. I have both S23 ultra and 15 pro max. Samsung modified android software (bloatware) feel very cheap, and gimmicky while most software on Apple seems polished and mature.

But, I guess what do you expect from a company that listens to you through your TV and tries to show Ads on their refrigerators. Samsung makes great hardware, and falls short in software.

There was an article right before the release of the 17 series of iPhones saying people are ditching Apple for Samsung.

Make up your minds tech press.

    4. It turns out abandoning *actual* tech improvements in favour of “apple customers are stoopid” tribal brand politics, while gradually enshittifying every aspect of their platform, although extremely successful in the short term, wasnt a sustainable long term business strategy 🤷‍♂️

And how is its overall market share doing? Not dropping as fast as expected?…

I’m on android but I replaced my last Samsung with a Sony a few years ago purely to avoid the bloatware. Kind of sucks that there is effectively a duopoly for phones.

Next time I upgrade will likely be to a Pixel and Graphene OS. Google might’ve changed their minds about blocking sideloading but the fact they they wanted to do it at all and the way they’re locking down Chromium browsers to kill effective ad blockers, which I know, shocked pikachu face who’d’ve thought you can’t trust the advertising company with your privacy and by extension your security, but if they can’t even keep the facade up then why stick around. Tho it feels weird buying their hardware to escape their software but there are less secure forks that work with other devices.

Samsung is making the same flagship since S20 ultra. Tiny improvements and 0 innovation. Meanwhile the 17 pro max is a literal video powerhouse with all those pro video features. Yeah.

    8. Currently dealing with my wife’s Apple products to try and move pictures and videos around. It has cemented my despise of the apple ecosystem. The amount of bs apple does to make you have to upgrade devices due to compatibility is ridiculous

Nothing says “innovation” like winning a race by making the track smaller and the walls higher.

    10. Beat? Samsung aren’t being replaced, they’re staying in consumer’s hands.

Apple beat nothing here save perhaps themselves.

    11. I mean EVERY major carrier in the US is GIVING away the iPhone 17. Hell I just saw a commercial, Verizon will give you and iPhone 17, iPad, and Apple watch…sooo yeah checks out lol

the blue texts…man. it infects young people’s minds. Can’t be green.

    14. Samsung builds a competent phone that people don’t need to upgrade every year

Going to take a long time for that to change. Apple has done a great job marketing their product to be a class above Samsung. Entire generations are made fun of for being broke if they have green text lol.

Feels less like Apple “winning” and more like Samsung drifting plus premium market concentrating at the top.

Would of been good to see some extra data but would it not be true that also because other android manufacturers are taking Samsungs share? Been with Samsung for several iterations now but my next upgrade will probably be a Pixel. Samsung makes really solid phones so it takes a while before consumers decide to replace but the market now has quite a lot more firm choices now

    18. But everyone has been screaming that Apple had a monopoly on phones for decades/s
