  1. Israel does have a motive here in regard to where these people are settled: the northern towns that these people will go to have been decimated by Hezbollah and other terrorist attacks. Thus, they’ve seen depopulation as people move away from those areas

They are likely to be far safer in India than emigrating to a place where they live under constant threat. 🤷‍♂️

Serious question: Isn’t there a lot of racism against „non-white“ Jews? I remember reading about the Ethiopian Jews being subject to racism by the more European and Levant Jews. Will this immigration plan not exacerbate or at least maintain such issues? Thanks for any insight.

What if the 5800 Jews from India are actually rather content living in India?

I am proud to trace my ancestry back to the Sephardic lineage, as evidenced by the numerous Sephardic descendants in South America. Although I am not far from this heritage, current laws still impact individuals like me. I identify as a Jewish person, yet I face challenges in formalizing this identity. Unfortunately, there are no synagogues in my current location, which hinders my ability to undergo a legal conversion. Despite these obstacles, my family’s history is well-documented.
