      one of the best I had when visiting was a small food stall in the Vernissage market area. An amazing snack to have in the middle of a long day of walking all over the place.

      This is Northern Avenue, not Republic Square. And the original lahmadjun is a little more expensive, around 1200. With cheese, as in the photo, it costs 1500 or 1400.

      The best and original lahmajune is Mer Taghe. Full stop. No other compares, especially the ones that call it “Lahmajo”.

      But yeah, it is supposed to be inexpensive, AND – honestly I’ve yet to find one that wasn’t at least decent!

      My mom and I got lamajun at that place! The night we arrived to Yerevan and couldn’t sleep, it was open late and not too crowded, totally perfect. Maybe not technically the best in the city but we had the best time sitting on the corner stuffing ourselves and people watching. Thanks for the memory!
