CCP hates Taiwan because Taiwan is a reminder to all Chinese, that you can have a successful Chinese society under democracy.
Taiwan has a grim future ahead. With China having a strong hold in manufacturing all over the world, I doubt places like Europe would antagonize China for a land thousands of km away.

AFAIK the best for amphibious attacks is around April or October due to the weather and the roughness of the water. Does not mean they can’t do other things but getting it over by air primarily is hard, they need water too.

The U.S. military and its allies do not have the ability to stop China or its navy. We have no way of logistically getting the firepower to Taiwan in time if they decide to go to war over Taiwan.

China’s missile systems/SAMs will shoot down anything within 1500 kilometers. Good luck getting personnel, equipment, aircraft, naval assets anywhere close to Taiwan. Logisitcs alone make this task near impossible.
If china invades they will also not do what Russia did. which was to send in a ground force that was 1-1 in terms of manpower that was doomed from the start. They will overwhelm Taiwan 3 or 5-1 in terms of combatants.
The United States and its allies are blowing smoke when it comes to what is possible in terms of its deterrence capabilities.
When I saw the headline I thought „I bet that gets reported every year“, and went looking so I could post a bunch of links. Anyway, what I discovered was that it does get posted most years, but from about 2022 everyone has been saying „by 2027“, which coincides with the 100th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army. Getting kind of sick of living through once-in-a-lifetime events so it would be neat if this didn’t happen thanks

Does Taiwan even have a seat in the Chinese government? Like I’m imagining a Chinese government building where all provinces have their respective seat and there is a seat for Taiwan just collecting dust until they’re forced in.
Of course they are going to attack. After watching Russia’s total fuck up of an invasion get rewarded by the Trump peace plan – why wouldn’t they? Nothing to lose even if it goes horribly wrong the west will reward them with territory and invite them straight back to the table…
It will happen during the Trump era because it’s the best chance China has at the United States doing nothing.

So as a lot of people have mentioned it had been repeatedly reported that China is looking st 2027 but i have often thought why telegram the invasion date? Wouldnt it be advantageous to attack before or after that date?
If Chinese forces touch land in Taiwan the TSMC will blow up the chip and semi conductor factories. Taiwan is where currently 60-90% of chips are made today. If they disappear we are looking at a world where computers and military systems have been crippled or vanished. Worldwide banking crashes. America will 100% not allow that to happen. Everything is made in China nowadays, so the economy will crash in the USA too.
What I’m trying to say is that we’re all going back to the breadlines if China invades Taiwan.
Xi will absolutely take Taiwan sometime during the Orange Mans 4 years Presidency. It’s gonna happen.
