I don’t believe the official narrative, but it’s likely because it doesn’t clearly show anything of value and probably would raise more questions. So the best they can do is at least show the alleged shooters suspicious behavior on the roof.
They seem to only show surveillance video from the parking garage and nothing from the campus. You are right that the moments before he leaps off the roof are the most important. It’s also odd that the video zooms in on him preparing to roll off the roof. What may be going on outside of frame that they had to zoom in and only cut that 5 seconds specifically
