      The Japanese are celebrating! After years of being overwhelmed by hordes of rude Chinese tourists, they can finally enjoy domestic tourism again. No country should ever become economically dependent on a bullying neighbor. Hopefully more Asian nations will follow Japan’s lead and take a similar stance. ✋

      Can’t let their own people travel freely.

      I saw a funny clip this morning. Mainland Chinese tourists in Japan were interviewed on the streets. When asked „you heard about Xi Jing Ping advising against Japan travels?“ the tourists bailed the hell out of the interviews.

      Good. Japanese rather have Taiwanese tourists than tourists from China.

      It’s also pretty laughable that a country can suddenly ban its citizen from going to Japan. And you will see people from China suddenly blaming Japanese „Imperialism“ and saying why Japan is not a good travel destination

      What puzzles me is after US drop the fat man and little boy and japan still sides them like a lackey. I am not saying japan should side china. But be practical and diplomatic.

      Despite JP’s heavy reliance on Tourism (isn’t it JP’s second export biggest industry after cars?), still think it was not the best counter CN could have played. JP‘s anti-foreigner(Chinese) sentiment has been quite vocal, and poll on Takaichi is through the roof now.
