So… are you saying we are not getting DOGE refund checks?

/s  (edited to make everyone knows this is sarcasm)

    2. Donald Trump and Elon Musk *need* to be prosecute for crimes against humanity. They are responsible for those deaths.

    3. Ancient_Popcorn on

That’s the direct human cost. They don’t even really go into the direct financial cost, let alone the indirect financial cost of DOGE. DOGE was a massive waste of taxpayer money, resulting in more money spent than if things had been left alone.

The whole point of DOGE was for Musk to kill agencies investigating his companies. It wasn’t about saving money.

    4. The_Glum_Reaper on

Hands red with blood, the DOGE bureaucrats move on.

      Justice, …..delayed, denied.

      >300,000 fired federal workers, 600,000 USAID deaths…

I hope this is never white-washed in all future discussions around Musk, his companies, and his legacy.

    6. literallytwisted on

Weird how all these things keep coincidentally causing damage to the US, Almost like the Trump administration is working for some enemy of ours? Ah well it must just be a huge coincidence.

    7. So the person in charge of that fiasco is being held responsible? They at least deserve a $1,000,000,000,000 stock payment plan as punishment, right?

    8. All while the guy who orchestrated the whole fucking crimes again humanity disaster got a $1 trillion pay package approved for himself.

Just straight up cartoon villain levels of evil.

    9. sys_admin321 on

and don’t forget how DODGE somehow found very little waste with the Department of Defense who is famous for million dollar toilet seats and cup holders. We spend at absolutely insane amount of our military and the budget for it could have been cut in half to save hundreds of billions.

    10. Certain-Anxiety-6786 on

Musk is responsible for one of the largest humanitarian disasters outside of war

    11. I read a comment on the Conservative sub celebrating this, insisting Musk found enormous waste and fraud.

    12. Ornery-Ticket834 on

That’s just for starters. They should all be proud of the chaos and destruction Musk paid 300 million to reap.

    13. Johnqpublic25 on

They left out, stealing our data, spending billions while saving nothing, shutting down all the investigations into Musk’s businesses

Read somewhere that they estimated 22,000 abortions were prevented in the year after Dobbs. GOP policies resulted in at least 578,000 more deaths in 10 months than abortions they prevented in a year. Maybe the Democrats should take on the pro-life mantle

    15. Magas love the loss, the death and the suffering they caused other people. The cruelty is the point.

    16. JuliusErrrrrring on

And all while we have had more debt occur than under any other President.

    17. and left backdoors in every system they could get their hands on so anyone could access them

    18. But some trans girl from Idaho High School didn’t get to compete in the 100 meter dash, right?!

I mean, we won that argument, correct?!

    19. It did what they wanted it to do. It was never going to be a permanent thing. They wanted to do maximum damage and Elon wanted to strip out regulators. We have to somehow win the next several elections and build up laws with better safeguards for our various federal agencies. That’s a tall order and they knew it, which is why they did what they did. Effectively makes the damage permanent even if DOGE no longer exists to target our ire at.

    20. For decades, the right has been believing that the government does nothing useful. They share memes, tell pithy anecdotes, and pass around Heritage Foundation talking points. Until they convince themselves this is true.

Then they implement it. And are shocked to discover that every time someone said, „there outta be a law“, that it was their job to make it so.

Then they fall out of power and watch as other people rebuild things. Until, one day, new talking points arrive.

We are regressing to the point where you will not be able to trust anything on a screen. It will be back to hearsay as all digital evidence will be claimed as AI generated. Why do you think they are all pushing SO HARD for it.

Do crimes. Flood everything with useless and nearly endless erroneous data to bury all of it. Since it would take decades to sift through any of it. We are approaching Corporate utopia.

Cant wait to drive to Ohio TM and look at the Rollercoaster TM and pay 5.99 a month for „happy“ time.

      Edit: a word

    22. jimthesquirrelking on

So Elon now has 1/20th of a Hitler in terms of mass death he’s caused

    23. Sadly this is what trump voters voted for. Also to blame are people that could have voted but didn’t vote because they didn’t like Harris enough.

    24. bucketofmonkeys on

Typical Trump administration result – the room is torn apart and shit is all over the walls, they declare success and move on.

    25. SevenSeasSailor1 on

The usaid_deaths are more than slightly underrated.
Also in Belgium a stock of a few millions worth of condoms and anti conception medication was destroyed . The rent for the stocking place cancelled and the request of the Belgian government to take over stock or permission to distribute in the African countries were where they were ment to be distributed to reduce the spreading of sexually transferable diseases and/ or reduce over population was denied .
So US citizens payed for the destruction as wel as thee acquisition . Thank you DOGE.

    26. BlobTheBuilderz on

But Elon is worth half a trillion dollars now and it keeps climbing even though both Tesla and Twitter are in the dumps. So we are still winning right. Right?

    27. SeeingEyeDug on

Only 600,000 USAID deaths? I thought it was going to be in the millions per year.

    28. Admirable_Trash3257 on

But no savings…1 trillion added in trumps first 11 months..the highest amount EVER added in that short of a time..and we the people got nothing in return but ICE in our communities, a brain worm defining health policy, a Fox News commentator firing career generals, admirals who know war and a dog and goat killer cosplaying a Nazi..to name just a few.

    29. What, a Russian operative and south African billionaire don’t care about America?

    30. If just one person in this administration was competent we’d be in way deeper trouble. Don’t get me wrong, we’re fucked, but we’d be even more fucked if somebody was competent.

    31. AgentClockworkOrange on

Someday future generations are going to read about this in history books. They’re going to question why we allowed bullshit like this to happen. Then someday hopefully sooner rather than later, there is going to be a change and step in the right direction that doesn’t allow for garbage like this to happened in the future.

    32. ArtichokeAware7342 on

I sure loved having a job. A job I loved. A job that focused on saving taxpayers funds. A job that I single handily saved the government more money in a year that the payroll of my entire tiny agency. But no, I get to be jobless because some balless manchild wanted to play pretend at being good at something for once in his miserable life.

    33. awesomedan24 on

We gave $40B to Argentina just to help billionaire investors. USAID total budget last year was only $32 billion by comparison. We’re letting million die to benefit billionaires, which is hardly surprising at this point.
