The RSPCA has condemned as “completely unacceptable” the way men at two dairy farms supplying milk for Cathedral City cheese violently attacked cows.
An animal-rights filmmaker secretly filmed workers jabbing animals with sharp objects, hitting them with metal brooms, punching, slapping and kicking them, and twisting their tails.
The company that produces Cathedral City cheese warned its dairy farmers to watch out for strangers on their property and not to talk to them after learning that the filming had taken place.
In some instances men were seen hitting cows with plastic pipes – and twice they were seen inserting rods into animals’ rectums to make them stand.
Activists claimed the cows were controlled with “force and fear”.

Clearly not the employees, otherwise they wouldn’t be abusing them.

“Saputo’s website promises zero tolerance of cruelty, and after seeing the footage anger-management training and CCTV were introduced.”
Yeah that’ll stop them sticking things up the cow’s arses.

I worked at a a dairy farm and I just don’t get how someone does this to the cows. The more you work with them the more you understand them and the easier they are to work with. Cows like routine, they like being milked, there’s no need for abuse. Get these criminals off the farm, get them arrested and get people in who want to work there.

Industry that is centred around cruelty to animals is found to be cruel to animals. Next the RSPCA will be telling us bears shit in the woods. The fact that the dairy industry is cruel should be news to no one, it is just something people ignore to feel better about their choices.

What happened to the days when you’d worship an animal that gives you something? I think we should repurpose dairy farms into temples of dairy where cows are worshiped, showered with gifts and people sacrifice themselves on an altar for the most mature of cheddars.

Wouldn’t you say stop abusing cows?
Yikes. That’s messed up.
