How does it harm anyone to have a small dedicated prayer room? More and more, it’s becoming clear that this push for ’secularism‘ is just an attack on religion by a bunch of bigots.
I’m all for secularism but neutral prayer/reflection rooms and kosher/halal meals are pretty harmless IMO. I would instead prioritize the shit-ton of old Catholic symbols across the province that continue to be publicly funded, including the giant lit-up cross on top of the Mont Royal and the Jesus statue in the waiting room at Hôpital de Hull.
This probably impacts Christians more than the groups they want to target if Quebec’s pre-K daycare system is anything like that in the prairies.
The CAQ, in its death throes, desperately throws racist meat to the base to try and distract them from their sheer incompetence in every single sphere of governance.
