Yes, lets force LGBT people into having forced cis-relationships so the birthrate improves.

Nothing can go wrong with that. Just happy „natural“ families living their best lives!!

adding an s/ just in case

Yes, I’m absolutely 100% sure that the 1% of the Turkish lgbt community from which 70% are probably unhappily married and pretending to be straight while having kids cause their country despises them, are absolutely the ones to blame for the decrease of population.

It’s definitely not Erdogan’s fault who demolished their economy, ruined any institution that operated independently, and made democracy just a distant memory in the country.

    3. Funny, blame it on LGBT and not on the highest in Europe rising prices of homes.

How TF do you even think about starting a family if you can’t afford a place to live?

Yes, when I think of „places where LGBT acceptance has gone too far and where traditional masculinity and femininity are scorned,“ the first place that comes to mind is Turkey

Erdogan refuses to blame adults not wanting to have kids in uncertain and threatening times.

But yeah, obviously the gays are to blame.

    6. His explanation is bonkers. Fertility is dropping everywhere – in any developed nation it has become very expensive to have kids. It’s a global trend, only in the least developed countries fertility is still high but even there it’s dropping like crazy.

In a society where gay men are still expected to get married and pretend they’re straight, fertility may be slightly higher than if gay men can live their own lives, but it’s just a minor effect on the overall trend.

The gays in Turkey: „we’re sorry, we’re trying our best, we just don’t manage to get pregnant!“

    8. Personally I blame idiots like this this for the falling birth rates. Who wants to bring a child into this when wankers like him are running/ruining your country?

I love every single one of these posts that i see. The system slowly but surely collapsing around them as they can no longer take advantage of citizens and still expect them to pump out babies in the name of infinite growth.

I just hope technology doesn’t advance so fast we can be replaced before drastic and significant changes occur to remedy this

    10. Nothing at all to do with his long leadership tenure and the overall fall in living standards…

    11. These autocrats will blame anyone but seek for a responsibility of what is happening in their country. In or outside their country just not them. Minorities, different nationalities or ethnics, religions so that their electorate wont be able to think clearly…

    12. BEEAKING: Man who is increasingly running out of people to jail and things to blame for Turkey’s worsening problems, grasps at yet another thing to blame

no need 5 children. there is no job for 5 children. It is better not have children if you cant look after them or if you cant afford a standard life. I prefer not being born over being a child in a poor family

Yeah it has nothing to do with a prolonged period of economic instability and very high inflation.

We’re far past the point of it mattering.

And it would take 30-50 years of the government fully subsidizing the parenting experience, from top to bottom, to even begin to make a change.

That’s free housing, education, child needs, food, health care, all of it. For 50 years. Nationwide.

No nation is going to do that, so they’ll rage about stupid shit, not spend any money and continue to decline.

Husband to wife: „let’s have kids“

      Wife: „No“

      Husband: „why?“

Wife: „because, you know, lgbt people…exist, somewhere.“
