Yes a bit general but no harm to put pressure on Oil Companies and government.

Funny how we were promised cheap electricity with wind and solar only to end up with ever higher prices and worlds most expensive electricity that goes in one direction, while gas prices are falling

This is another article where the author/publisher knows they’re misleading everyone but print it anyway.

There’s a reason the last line says August 2022 and not Summer 2022 or just 2022. The price of electricity in that month would have meant bills were about 90 c/kWh if households were actually paying the wholesale rate.

The reason we haven’t seen a 74% drop is because we never paid that high price in the first place. We didn’t even come close.

It’s also why we won’t be paying 50 c/kWh plus in our next bill when wholesale rates got to 40 c/kWh during a couple of days at the start of this month.
