      Ukraine and Europe should just ignore the US capitulation plan. There is no need to negotiate or make counter offers. The war continues until Ukraine wins. The US is an irrelevant outsider in this war, even if unlike other countries, it is arrogant enough to act as if it has a voice.

      Its very simple. This plan is the best way for short term success and praise for the Donald. It might be bad in future but they dont look ahead very far it seems

      Rubio I always thought was one of the few competent in the administration, yes the bar is that low. For him to say that must be really embarrassing.

      It wasn’t long ago that Republicans like him rightfully criticised Obama for being too soft on Russia.

      That plan is such dog shit that I think I preferred the explanation that it was just a Russian wish list. If it was actually written by Trumps people as a serious proposition then they are all delulu.

      The DOJ is bursting with integrity

      ICE is deporting only illegal immigrants with criminal records

      Doge was a resounding success and didn’t steal every byte of taxpayers data

      I was just reading that one of the issues is the multiple positions and contradictory statements from the US government. There appears to be multiple factions and positions on the peace plan based on a combination of real strategic thinking (a rarity), where to maneuver for the ’28 presidential elections, and of course the trump grift. As usual Rubio is bouncing between them. Foreign governments feel they are negotiating with two governments within the US as they are so incredibly incompetent and mostly looking out for their own self interests. A shame that brave Ukrainians have to die because of their greed and hubris.

      Rubio was credible, in the past. But maybe not now.

      But a more important question is – how can Europe do better?
