What do you expect from a guy who’s never worked a real job in his entire life?

    2. Shame on them. I’d hate to be a member of the administration relying on a nurse. Call button problems?

    3. This is a student loan cap (typical Trump money thing) issue that quickly results in a high likelihood of fewer people chasing nursing degrees. This classification change doesn’t reduce the cost of nursing education but it does reduce what someone can borrow to become a nurse.

      Anyone see a problem here?

But a degree in Theology IS a professional degree.

      Fucking awesome.

This from the POTUS whose greatest success prior to elected office was living richly off the billions he bilked from the unwary and then protected himself with bankruptcy laws.

What does this actually mean? I’m guessing it’s more than just a classification and more of a way to reduce support for these “professions” so the GOP and MAGA can pocket the money

If he knew nurses keep him alive when his doctor is busy banging the anesthesiologist he might think twice about insulting them.

    8. will this affect nurses from canada there on a professional standing visa?

    9. Interesting how many of these professions require a state license to practice, it’s almost as if that’s what they used to determine what to target. Why?

Thinking as the most awful person i can consider… nursing is a women’s job and women can’t be ‚professional‘ excepting the world’s oldest one. I could see him thinking like that

Interesting, California is now requiring a BS degree to become a RN.

This also coincides with the department of educational being illegally dissolved.

Here’s the full list of degrees.

Trump better be careful. In the very near future he is going to need a nurse to change his diapers.

Don’t hire qualified people for cabinet jobs and degrade medical professionals. I hope this ends soon.

This is the MAHA plan. You can’t go to professionals if there aren’t any professionals. It puts faith healers, supplement gurus, and all those people on the same playing field as actual nurses and therapists.

An Architect is one of the hardest majors ever. Does he want buildings to tilt and bridges to sway? Wtf

    19. This administration has no good policies or ideas.

They are so far removed from the lives of Americans and don’t seem to consult experts and therefore every policy since January has harmed and not benefited average Americans.

This poorly thought out policy is designed to limit the amount that students pursuing these degrees can receive in federal loans. They will now have lower borrowing limits which are insufficient to cover the cost of the degree.

The professions of nursing and teaching have suffered shortages and this will likely make it worse.

    20. I can confidently say that the best course of action for this admin is to simply make *no* changes and decisions for the remainder of the term. Literally every single change they’ve made has been terrible – take note, a$$hat$.

    21. SarcasticlySpeaking on

All of these degrees that are no longer classified as „Professional“ lead into careers where you would be a mandatory reporter for any kind of abuse, including child abuse.

    22. All this admin is good at is punishing people except billionaires and maga politicians/criminals.

    23. tossaway78701 on

Nurses, and many others on the list, happen to also be mandatory reporters.

      That’s a professional designation.

      Now they’re not.

    24. So then this will lead to a nursing shortage, which means another justification for insurance companies in increase medical costs on Americans.

    25. Peppers-GhostMirror on

Its not a bill its an executive order, so not „law“ just another unlawful decree amongst many.

    26. Anxious-Chocolate-10 on

Look over here, not at the Epstein Files being redacted and or destroyed while in GOP custody.
