MannersCount on 22.11.2025 12:51 a.m. Having driven a truck all over the Lower 48, I don’t find this to be accurate. What’s your source?
Pounce_64 on 22.11.2025 2:26 a.m. There are trucks on Aussie main roads with 46 wheels, even more when you hit the outback where the road trains are
ItchySignal5558 on 22.11.2025 2:37 a.m. I always wondered. For dialect maps like this, how do they get such specific data?
Narf234 on 22.11.2025 2:42 a.m. Why tractor trailer? And what the hell is a full sized truck if an 18 wheeler is only semi?
anotherdamnscorpio on 22.11.2025 3:46 a.m. I’ve always said semi/semitruck but im aware that people say 18 wheeler. Guess where im from lol
canadiankiwi03 on 22.11.2025 4:59 a.m. Interesting! I grew up 130mi east of Maine and we said 18-wheelers. I guess the border makes a difference
sonic10158 on 22.11.2025 6:29 a.m. Can confirm, in Mississippi we call them 18-wheelers. As a kid I used to love counting the wheels to make sure they had 18
Quiet_Property2460 on 22.11.2025 6:30 a.m. So they call it an 18 wheeler no matter how many wheels it has? Based. I bet there’s a big overlap with areas that call Sprite a kind of Coke.
