Good deal for Canada! But terrible news for the thousands who are being massacred by forces supported by the UAE.
Would love to see the details though; still no timelines on when the money will be forthcoming. Article I read also said UAE media have not amplified it yet, that’s concerning.
We have to make deals with countries like this but we should always raise our concerns with their conduct and seek to stand for the values we hold dear.
Really hope Carney brought up the genocide crises in Sudan.
Trudeau did a lot of flouncing out of rooms that had flawed partners in them and all it seemed to achieve was a significant reduction in Canada’s influence.
If we want to go back to being a moral voice, we should start by significantly beefing up our military so we can actually take on major peace keeping roles. Currently we just wait for situations to collapse and then say how awful it is.
