Ohio and Nevada are the most self conscious states so this checks out

Why does a county need a flag? Is there identity crisis in the US?

TIL most counties in the US don’t have a flag. Every county I have ever lived in has one. Never really thought about it.

    4. As someone who hails from maryland (100% of counties have flags), it’s crazy to see that Idaho, north Dakota, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut have a grand total of ZERO.

I also wonder why the only states(ish) that wound up with 100% flags are MD, DE, NJ, OH, NV, and Puerto Rico. Such an odd combo.

Bernalillo county absolutely has a flag.

Orleans parish does, debatably, since the parish is the same as the city of New Orleans.

    6. Debatably San Francisco County has a flag. The county and the city are the same thing, and share a lot of government positions and resources, so the flag of the city could be considered the flag of the county.

    7. „Yeah… We’re not doing that!“ -Idaho, North Dakota, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut
