    1. In parts of Eastern Europe , pine martens do this so often that you can actually buy anti-marten spray in Aldi and Lidl. Just checked, you can get anti-fox spray on Amazon.ie

“Accused“ reads hilariously… as if the local Fox committee will now meet for a Friday evening debrief and suss out how they are gonna respond to the accusations.

And where were the Gardaí when these foxes were damaging the cars?

Let’s blame the foxes instead of rats, the Southside of Dublin couldn’t possibly be seen to have rats.

    5. I’m in Stillorgan and our foxes are very friendly and I’ve never heard of them damaging a car.

This is the funniest article I’ve read in a while. If someone sees a fox there, it’s probably because rats or other small rodents are around. They are known to go into cars, nest and stuff.

Martens are known to chew cables in cars for ever. They will do this for territorial reasons too. If one smells another one on a car it’s warefare. You can get anti-marten kits to install in continental Europe and it’s quite common. How they come to the conclusion of foxes being a possible culprit is hillarious.

And that chickenwire will do exactly nothing prevention-wise. 😆

Surely one of them has a camera doorbell to catch the vandals? Justice for the foxes!!

    8. One way to scratch up the paint work.

We have foxes coming into our yard every night and not once did they chew up the wires in our cars.

What kind of gobshite blames foxes for this?? How would a fox manage it, and why the fuck would they bother??
I live in the countryside with a fox who visits my garden daily. I’m happy to report – All cars remain unharmed.

Jesus. Welcome to american journalism. Hack reporters and their grifter „experts“. It’s the woke vegan foxes and the anti drill-baby-drill brigade. Also there are no rats in southside dublin. Priceless!

Between this and cats shitting in their gardens, it’s been a hell of a week for the residents of South Dublin
