Mad that’s a life sentence in Ireland
It was premeditated murder. He went to the bar she frequented and stabbed her to death in plain view of onlookers. I dont get how a plea of 1st degree manslaughter was accepted given the level of violence shown… a poor verdict in my eyes.
I think they accepted the plea deal, as a murder term would have been 25-life, but also, they’d have run the risk of it going to trial…could have dragged on for months, and maybe wound up with lesser term…?
