> “I think when Disney came under new leadership, they just shifted coming out of COVID,” the actor continued. “COVID shifted our business in a lot of ways. I think they looked at that property and thought, ‘We did it once, not sure if we should revisit it again.’ Despite whether or not our chemistry was great.”
> Blunt added, “They did not want to set sail again, and that’s fine.”
It was an OK movie but, didn’t have that spark that PotC did. I can understand why they aren’t planning sequels/franchise
Budget $200M and only grossed $220M worldwide. Can’t understand why they wouldn’t make another one. Disney loves losing money.
Rock probably can’t comprehend not making a sequel to any movie with him starring, black Adam included
The Rock needs to just stop. I’m actually sick of seeing him in movies. He isn’t even a good actor, he’s just a household name.
It finally happened. The Rock ran out of jungle.
TIL this is a movie
The way the Rock trapped his old crew back in the walls to doom them to an eternity of torture at the end was certainly a choice for the movie to make. That’s all I really remember about it
It was good as a stand alone. That said it wasn’t that great and could have been better.
Can we just fast forward to the Rock being commonly perceived as irrelevant and publicly toxic?
It was basically a knock off Pirates movie with none of the charm.
I know I watched this movie, but I can’t remember a single scene or line from it.
The fact the rock has consistently called them property instead of films or movies says a lot.
To this day, I still don’t understand how he got so big in Hollywood.
It was a fun movie, doesn’t need a sequel tho, good enough as a standalone
Lol did the really even look at it?
Not surprising, the first one was such a letdown
