    1. „Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.“

It is clear as a day to **EVERYONE** that all trump wants is a nobel price and to extort some money from Ukraine – he couldn’t care less about what would happen after that „peace plan“, which is – russia would continue the war on much better terms for them

    2. This „plan“ is nothing but the confirmation of the Russo-USan alliance against the EU-Ukrainian one.

    3. 1. Lose American support
      2. Surrender and open the way for a third Russian invasion once they’ve rebuild their army

Sheesh, I wonder what Ukraine will choose /s

    4. I have this odd feeling that the Epstein files have something to do with this. Walls are closing in, and now agent Krasnov’s main objective is in jeopardy.

    5. Is it a choice?

I don’t think it is. Just tell Trump aloud to go fuck himself.

How sorry it is that world politics have degraded to this level of childishness? Probably your average 5 year olds would handle it better.

Do you reward a child for being an aggressive idiot? Do we really want to reward Putin for what he has done. All the lives damaged and lost. All those so much better people that he stole from us.

I don’t think so. What Putin needs is a good spanking. TBH to be locked in a cell for the rest of his days.

As a Dane I am pretty fed up that my per capita contribution to Ukraine alone is greater than what several of my European brothers and sisters contribute to NATO. We are not going to last long as a union if we can’t even keep Vlad in his place.

At this point I won’t be surprised if Trump says, „Look Ukraine doesn’t want to work with us, so we are stopping every shipment to Ukraine, but Russia DOES want to work with us, so we are lifting all sanctions and doing all kinds of business with them“

So many supposedly European have been commenting on this by basically saying that Ukraine needs to give up, and I can already see the same comments under this thread. I refuse to believe any of those people are actually who they claim to be, OR they’re just legimately that stupid that they fell for the Kremlin’s propaganda. Russia is choked, Trump was Putin’s last card, and Russia can’t stand the status quo much longer – depending how strong Europe’s response is and is going to be. And any account repeating Kremlin’s talking points can just get lost. The idiots need to study history, and if that doesn’t help then nothing will.

    9. So Putin ordered his puppet to finally pull the plug, or just Donny trying to take the spotlight from the fact that soon he will be a proven pedophile?

Why are we still talking about fucking America? It’s always so one-sided.

They only talk about „Yurup!“ when referring to that *country* that they’re going to on „vacation“. Whereas people here are *still* hanging on their every word.

    11. There is no American support. Don’t fool yourself.

I think America had ao many enemiea right now…. and people remember…. no PR will be able to reverse that…. we know!

This is the only legacy that american conservative platform has from now on. The logical outcome to all form of reaganism.

Being a fucking whore to the highest bidder.

Lets not kid ourselves, there is no American support for Ukraine. Lets move on without them, Europe is slowly manning up to deal with Russia on our own. If we fund enough long range weapons for Ukraine, the Russian oil assets can be destroyed sufficiantly, for their whole economy to deteriorate to the point that they can’t afford to pay for the cost of the war…

    14. Trump and Putin can’t be trusted. Their deal would mean absolutely nothing. This would be a massive loss for all of Europe. If the US betrays Europe, then Europe needs to step up for Ukraine.

    15. Somebody needs to tell Trump that this deal will blow up with another Russian invasion before the next Noble Peace Prize ceremony

    16. America are our enemies and it is time for us to start treating them like it. We need to fully rearm yesterday and kick out all of the American bases. European security should never again be left to the whims of American greed.

    17. All the people here are acting as if this was an easy choice when it’s not. Wether you like it or not, US support, specially in regards to intelligence, in unvaluable, the kursk offensive was counter attacked when America stopped sharing intelligence for a few days. Ffs european support is mostly buying US weapons. If Europe hadn’t been slacking off in regards to defense, this would be easier, but losing american support would be catastrophic. I’m not saying that Ukraine should capitulate, the conditions on this are absurd, but it’s not an easy choice to make.

    18. itisnotstupid on

I think that it is pretty clear that even if Ukraine accepts, in 2-3 years Russia will attack again, after rebuilding its economy. During this time they will go even more hardcore on sabotaging elections in Ukraine and installing puppet politicans and all that.
It’s so sad seeing the US being Russia’s bitch.

    19. Aromatic-Deer3886 on

Dignity over traitor America. Ukraine has sacrificed so much for us all. This is despicable America

    20. Forsaken_Celery8197 on

Slava ukraine, fuck Trump. Where is the best place to donate to the cause?

    21. This deal is a complete disaster not only to Ukraine, but for the whole of Europe. It secures huge concessions for rebuilding Ukraine and to extract it’s riches, paid by EU and Ukraine but the beneficiaries would be American firms. US wants to take on a leash the whole of Europe, Ukraine and Russia to a lesser degree.

    22. InfectedAztec on

Europe need to turn this against Trump ahead of the midterms. Literally say „Europe will step up if America no longer has the stomach for the fight“. Let the Democrats run on the message that Trump abandoned Ukraine because Putin told him to.

Let Ukraine know that all funding and support made available will have to be directed into European hardware…..so no more patriots…..they’ll have to live with the SAMP-T and NASAM etc Taurus and Storm Shadows instead of ATTACMS. Gripen instead of F16 etc. French and UK intelligence instead of US etc. America cannot turn it’s back on Ukraine and expect to profit from it.

Ukraine need to understand the fight may be harder without the US support and therefore need to mobilise some of the young men they’ve not used til now. That’s a choice they’ll have to make.

Maybe Europe offer them the french or UK Air Force to close out the skies.

    23. Time for a no fly zone. I know I know it means we’re at war with Russia, blah blah. We could not target Russian troops, but only target anything Russian in Ukrainian airspace, manned or unmanned. If they shoot at us, we should be able to defend ourselves. If they shoot us down, we’re over friendly territory. What are they ACTUALLY going to do about it??? At this point, anything less is just unacceptable. Time to really put a thumb on the balance scales.

America can leave the discussion entirely.

    24. SeveralHeron1746 on

Drop the americans, it will be hard but we can do this. we can beat russia

    25. My favorite part is “ The U.S. will receive compensation for the guarantee;:
If Ukraine invades Russia, it will lose the guarantee“

Putler will claim Ukraine invaded Russia within a week and Piggy will agree with him.

    26. History repeats itself. Europe is once again wavering, making decisions and responding too slowly. The aggressor now has complete freedom of action because it is setting the rules right here and now, and no one can do anything about it. The missile strikes from Ruzzia only prove that Europe’s softness and its attempts to distance itself from this war are completely pointless. Therefore, if we lose, the enemy’s lies will become the truth.

    27. noorderlijk on

One more reason why we should attack Russia en masse as NATO and EU, with or without the USA, and put them back in their place once and for all.

    28. That’s the consequence of being dependent. And it should be a lesson that all European countries must take. Be independent (in defense), or be loser, the choice is yours.

    29. What Russia actually gains in thai agreement when compared with continuing the war?

I could only find the very vague „Russia will be reintegrated into the global economy“. Even launching missiles at oil plants is not a hard line for losing the support.  They gain a bit of Dombas.

      >Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk will be recognized as de facto Russian, including by the United States.

This means nothing.  This is not really a good deal for Russia.

    30. In the words of Finland’s former prime minister: „Ukraine doesn’t need the help of the West to surrender.“

    31. Europe has to stand strong with Ukraine, we can’t really just let them stand alone trying to appease a desperate US president that has no interest in the future of Ukraine. Appeasement does not work.
