If land is ceded then its an invitation to try again. Russia is the aggressor here and thus should not be rewarded for an invasion.
imo the biggest problem in the deal is how will they ensure Russia won’t invade again? American bases in Ukraine? UN Demarcation line? Third country border guards?

I will leave it to the Ukranians to decide what peace plan works for them, but for the EU, there should be no attempt at normalizing relations with Russia, at least not while the people responsible for this war are still in power. Any and all dependencies on Russian energy should be phased out and no consumer goods should be imported, nor should exports be tolerated. It sickens me to think that we might soon be trading with a country that has – besides the active war of conquest they are currently engaged in against one of our allies – routinely committed acts of sabotage on European soil, interfered with democratic elections in every country and time and again threatened to destroy us in nuclear hellfire. Diplomatic relations should be to the extent that we acknowledge the country exists, as all that their diplomats do is lie through their teeth. The Chinese and Americans can have them, I want no part.

As much as I hate the Russian government and what they’ve done to Ukraine, there is no military way for Ukraine to retake that land without NATO direct intervention. No one even thought that Ukraine could withstand Russia when they invaded first. It was only because of Russian incompetence in the beginning that let to early Ukrainian victories that anyone now thinks Ukraine can retake all of their land.

From what I read in the plan, or atleast whats been told in the news… that plan is basically a surrender for Ukraine… its contains only negatives for Ukraine and only positives for Russia.

This is not a ukrainian loss, this is a european loss. Kind of what you’d expect from most european countries half-assing.. or more like tenth-assing the whole situation. Because we could have done 10 times more.
The plan is a joke, it gives Russia everything thy are asking for, including a land bridge to Crimea.
Europe should probably step up to help Ukraine.
The purpose of this „plan“ is to discredit Zelenskyy in the public eye of the West by forcing his hand to publicly reject something that is labelled a „peace plan“ (but is actually a completely unacceptable garbage plan to hand Russia 20% of Ukraine with zero accountability for war crimes or damages, and strong rewards for the aggression, like full rehabilitation and participation in the global economy) so that they will end support for Ukraine, a Russian puppet can be installed instead, and the US can make money off the whole process.
Soberly discussing individual details of the plan is better to turn the thing around and make Russia reject it instead. Rejecting it as a whole, as would be appropriate with these hopelessly one-sided terms, would help Putin achieve his objective of removing Zelenskyy.
Let no one ever trust USA or Europeans ever again when it comes to alliance. Middle East, Afghanistan and this, US and it’s allies have a really bad rep when it comes to throwing their allies under the bus and their word is worth less than the paper it is written on.
The donbass territorries become their own state with small military force. Russia and Ukraine have a demilitarized zone 100 km around their borders in front of the new donbass states and 50 km on their national borders. EU and possibly US pays for Ukraine rebuilding. The US gets materials from the Ukraine and Russian American trade restarts. Zelensky and Pution hold new elections. All POWs get released immediately. Former citizens of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Ukrainians and people in the new Donbass states can freely choose where to go/live once this has been done the national laws for travel apply.
Please don’t do the Chamberlain move, “”peace”” would just give Russia time to get more and stronger weapons to take over the entire Ukraine and even more.
