I’m sus of policy alternatives but after some very brief research into some European health care systems, I do wonder if Canada’s system needs some reorganizing.
We have been inundated with the American concept that profit trumps morality for too long. We have allowed their culture to force more and more of our Healthcare and other industries to ignore the realities of human suffering as long as it generates more wealth, almost always for an elite few.
We need to take this time to break up monopolies and follow the social democracy path of giving people services, not just generating wealth for a few.
I hope we can have a Mondami moment and give it a chance to grow.
