To think cutting off OAS is gonna make a dent in your ability to save is dumb. People on here are willing to take a very valuable pension cause you think it’s making you struggle and get rid of it. You know how many old folks need that to live? Your pointing fingers is in the wrong direction.
If the young actually showed up perhaps they’d have a reason not to have faith in it. The one time they did show up was 2015 and they made the difference. They can again. And they have to do it more than just federally. Provincial and municipal is just as important if not more.
Is there any society in which the people who have worked for 40+ years *aren’t* wealthier than the newcomers to the workforce. This is basically an inevitability due to the basic fact of wealth creation taking time.
If you want to talk about job opportunities and income levels, fine, go do that. What do pensions have to do with the current workforce though?
